July 25th, 2010 – Just after 1800 hours communications alerted Engine 51 and Medic 9 to respond to the 19000 block of Murcott Drive E for a motor vehicle crash rollover that was on fire. Rescue 51 and Battalion 50 were also added onto the assignment.

Upon arrival the responding units found a vehicle well involved in fire. Engine 51 stretched the line, performed a primary search, and extinguished the vehicle fire.

NBC-2.com further reported from the same sheriff’s office report that the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting that the car had been stolen and when deputies arrived, several neighbors identified the reckless driver despite his change in attire.

NBC-2.com reported that the subjects involved were arrested and taken to jail charged with Hit and Run Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Making a False Report.
